Construction work on the Hotel Antunović Zagreb started in the June of 2004. More than 20 firms took part in the project. There were some 150 people on the construction site each day.
The Hotel opened its doors on 1 September 2006. Some 3,500 people attended its inauguration ceremony, amongst them many journalists and media people so that this important event received extensive media coverage.

Since its inauguration the hotel has more than met the expectations. A highly motivated and ambitious team, ready to take up new challenges, have been working hard towards the fulfilment of their highly set goals.

The team were chosen and come from different Croatian hotels. They are of a similar age and share a common goal: to develop an original business culture in the hotel trade and catering based on long-year experience and enthusiasm. It is our desire always to offer something special and different both to our business guests and to those who are on holiday.

Thus, from the very beginnings we have been trying arranging programmes to suit all tastes and generations.

The Vertigo Bar saw on its stage such performers as Croatia's famous Nina Badrić, Masssimo Savić, Zdenka Kovačićek and Kemal Monteno, and stand-up comedians. Thus, the hotel doors are open to a wide audience, both the young and old, looking for entertainment and relaxation in this bar, which towers over all other bars in Zagreb and provides a magnificent panorama.
Besides its varied programme of entertainment, the hotel hosted a number of various business events, conferences and seminars. Large nnumber of companies have recognised and appreciated the true values and qualities of this modern hotel.

Besides business success, the hotel has received many prizes and wide acclaim owing to the efforts of its staff – starting from the owner, Mr. Tomislav Antunović, who won the Life Achievement Award, to chef Matija Balent, who returned from every competition with a medal.
